Client Frequently Asked Questions

q: How can I make the price lower?

a:

Our price is based on the size, quantity, and embroidery coverage. As a general rule of thumb, the more that is included in your order, the more expensive your price will be. Therefore, consider reducing the amount of your order to fit within the means of your budget. Secondly,we can change the size of your design to the smallest possible size to capture every detail, resulting in the price being cheaper.

q: How do you estimate the embroidery coverage? What is the difference between 50%, 75%, and 100% embroidery coverage?

a:

We estimate the embroidery coverage by checking your design’s details, size and colors. 50% embroidery means 50% or less of the surface area will be embroidered in thread. 75% embroidery means more than 50% but less than 100% of the surface area will be embroidered in thread. 100% embroidery means the entire patch will be embroidered in thread.

q: What is your lead-time for production and how long do you take for delivery?

a:

That is based on the size and quantity you have ordered. Usually, we can finish the production in 2 to 3 days if the order is less than 200 pieces, with delivery taking an extra 2 to 3 days. If your order is about 500 pieces, we can finish in 4 to 6 days, with delivery once again taking about 2 to 3 days. If your order is over 1000 pieces, it may take longer, but if you can tell us your deadline in advance then we will try our best to meet your deadline.

q: What shipping methods do you use?

a:

We use FedEx, DHL, USPS and China Post. You can choose which one is most convenient to you when you place your order.

q: How do I apply the patches with iron backing to the clothes?

a:

① Place the patch anywhere on the article of clothing.

② Cover the patch with a thin cloth, and then iron on. Avoid using iron directly on the patch to protect the patch under high temperature.

③ Keep pressing the iron around 40 to 60 seconds with the temperature approximately 120 to 150 degrees Celsius, depending on the thickness of the cloth.

④ Move the iron, wait for cool down completely.

⑤ If adherence is not perfect, please repeat action step 3&4.

q: Are your patches washable?

a:

Our iron backing is very strong and our patches can be washed in the washing machine.

q: What is the difference between the embroidery patch, Chenille patch and woven patch?

a:

The primary differences between these kinds of patches are how they are made, how they look, and how they differ in price. Custom embroidered patches are stitched more densely than custom woven patches -- a thick embroidery thread is used to make the patches look more three dimensional, whereas woven patches use thinner threads, resulting in smaller yet more detailed patches. Chenille patches tend to be much larger and thicker than both embroidered and woven patches due to the felt material.

q: What is the difference between iron backing and adhesive backing?

a:

Adhesive backing can be attached to the cloth directly by peeling off the paper. Patches with adhesive backing cannot be washed in a washing machine. Iron backing is stronger and needs to be attached to the patch with an electronic iron or iron machine.Patches with iron backing are machine washable.
